The Making of Forever Gardens 

 
Tricia and Jon have been plant and garden lovers most of their lives.  Jon grew up in the west Texas desert with a father that shared with him a great love for trees and gardens.  Tricia grew up in Austin and Georgetown with parents & grandparents that also loved plants, which sparked a life- long love affair with nature itself. 

Together, the passion they shared for plants and gardens was too great to leave as a hobby.  After working for a veterinarian for 13 years Tricia quit her job, went back to college to pursue her education, and graduated with a degree in Horticulture Business from Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, better known as Texas State University today.  

Their first business venture began in 2000, when they began professionally landscaping; using the homegrown stock of native and hardy perennials they propagated in their “backyard” nursery.  As the economy flat lined after 9/11 their thriving little business reeled, so they decided to take the big leap and opened Forever Gardens retail nursery in October, 2002. 

 Today, Forever Gardens is a thriving nursery with over two acres of enchanted plants, gardens and supplies.
