About the Event

Humans have been fermenting their food for millenia. For thouands of years we have known about the incredible health benefits of eating fermented foods. Providing a rich array of probiotics that help feed our gut micro-biota, fermentation is a crucial skill that we need to relearn as a species in a time where our western diet destroys, rather than heals our personal ecosystem.

This workshop will cover:

- Brief history of fermentation and preservation

- Theory on the fermentation process, including a look at key bacteria 

- HANDS-ON deep dive: sauerkraut, pickles, teas, kombucha
